Dr. Ron Baity
Founding Pastor of Berean Baptist Church
Dr. Ronnie Baity grew up on his family’s dairy farm in the small town of Courtney, North Carolina. He trusted Christ as Saviour as a teenager, and was called to preach not long after.
He has been a pastor for over 50 years. He is the founding pastor of Berean Baptist Church, which began in November 1980.
In addition to his position as pastor of Berean Baptist Church, Dr. Baity has been president of Return America since its founding in 2006. He also serves on the board of the North Carolina Christian School Association and has been a chaplain for the Winston-Salem Police Department since 1992.
Mr. Joseph Browning
Pastoral Staff & Bus Director
“Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the Glory of God” (I Corinthians 10:31)Mr. Joseph Browning trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 12 and soon afterward sensed God’s call to preach. He has attended Berean Baptist Church since the age of three and has faithfully served in the bus ministry for many years.
In addition to serving as Bus Director, he also serves as the Teen Church preacher on Sunday mornings, sings in the choir, assists in the media ministry, and serves as a station operator for WPIP 880 AM, where he hosts his weekly radio program, Victory in Jesus, on Sundays at 4:00 PM.
Mr. Browning and his wife, Megan, are a valued part of the Berean ministry. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical Theology from Macedonia Baptist College.
Mr. Jordan DeHart
Youth Director
Mr. Jordan DeHart grew up in Berean Baptist Church and is a graduate of Berean Christian School. He trusted Christ as his Savior as a teenager and later answered God’s call to serve in ministry.
In addition to serving as Youth Director, he also serves in the Christian school, as Media Director, in the bus ministry, and as the Junior Church preacher on Sunday mornings.
Mr. DeHart is currently pursuing a degree from Macedonia Baptist College.
Mrs. Belinda Lonaberger
Office Assistant
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Mrs. Belinda Lonaberger was raised in Forsyth County in the Walnut Cove and Stokesdale areas, where she grew up on her family’s farm. She trusted Christ as her Savior during her high school years, a decision that has guided her life since.
After graduating from Northwest High School, she worked for many years at Blue Bell in Stokesdale. She and her husband have two daughters, whom she homeschooled for several years. During that time, she also taught young children in Sunday School and later in a Christian school ministry.
Since coming to Berean Baptist Church in 2002, Mrs. Lonaberger has faithfully served in the bus ministry and choir. She now serves as office assistant and enjoys working behind the scenes to support the ministry.
In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, gardening, canning, embroidery, and other handcrafts.
Ms. Michelle Lonaberger
Administrative Assistant

Ms. Michelle Lonaberger came to Berean as a high school student at Berean Christian School and soon after joined Berean Baptist Church. She trusted Christ as her Savior during that time.
After graduating from Berean Christian School, she received an associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration from Guilford Technical Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel Baptist University.
She has faithfully served on staff since 2007. In addition to her role as administrative assistant for the ministries of Berean, she serves as an assistant teacher in the Girls’ Sunday School class, a member of the choir, and a violinist.
